Matthew MacFadyen

If I wasn't already super excited about the upcoming Robin Hood movie starring Russel Crowe and Cate Blanchett, I am now...as rumor has it Matthew MacFadyen has been cast as the Sheriff of Nottingham. Oh, he would be so good! :) He's one of those actors that can pull off everything from sweet and sympathetic (Little Dorrit)
to proud and disagreeable (Pride and Prejudice)
to a lazy spoiled mama's boy (The Way We Live Now)
I'm confident he would make a brilliant Sheriff of Nottingham. :) Can't wait. And I can't wait to see him in Medieval costume. I think it's funny how all these period drama men seem to make their way into being Robin Hood villains. Richard Armitage, Toby Stephens, and now Matthew MacFadyen. haha I guess it's every boys dream to play the bad guy at some point? :)
Anyway...I'm super excited and can't wait.

  1. Ahh...YES!!! Although I hate to see "Mr. Puppy Dog Eyes" (as we call him) play a bad dude, I'm so glad to have him in there!

And lol about those Robin Hood villians! (BTW, I'm hoping that Richard gets out of that show - which needs to end, anyway. No season 4, please! - and does a new period drama - he is just fab! :)

  3. I'm a little beside myself... love this guy. The perfect reason to watch this new version when it's release as I was a little curious who they would co-star with Russ. Happy now!
