Durango

I used to watch this movie all the time when I was younger...but it's really hard to find now for some reason. I finally found a used VHS copy online and I watched it for the first time in years the other night...and yep, I still love it. And I still love the costumes. Now I want to knit a sweater even more!

These are the only pictures I could find online:

I hope they come out with a DVD one of these days...Have any of you seen it?
I just love the clothes in the 1940's. Especially in Wales and Ireland. We need to bring this style back. ;) I'm going to do it! Sweet knitted cardigans with skirts. I think it might already be in style... but I'm so out of the fashion loop these days I don't even know.

  2. Oh I guess it's not him. He looks just like Guy from That Thing You Do in the first photo and in this one too: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3216022016/nm0444832

Doesn't he? Or am I just crazy?

    Love,

  3. I've discovered your blog searching pics fron "The edge of love", and i've discovered your own, beautiful way to make come alive the character of film with the way of dressing! I love so much your blog, i'd like to add it to the links of my http://www.giocodidonne.blogspot.com/ . Like you, i believe in a strong relashionship between movies and fashion!

Disclaimer:

Although I continually talk about movie costumes on this blog, I am not a movie reviewer. Not all the films I discuss are recommended and I do not choose to review weather they are appropriate or not for the simple fact that every person's standards are different. Something that is fine for me may be offensive to some one else and visa versa. If you would like to look into the appropriateness of a title, I recommend pluggedinonline.com. I have not seen all the movies I discuss, and am simply interested in the art of clothes in film. I will leave you to decide for yourself if you will watch the movie or not.
