But I have a feeling mother wouldn't approve. ;) But seriously...isn't Wickham just dashing? Even if he is wicked. :) "I think a man looks nothing without Regimentals." ;)
Hmm....one day I'll make some men's costumes.

It's one of my favourite dresses from P&P05, too! I can't wait to see what you come up with! :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love the regimentals, too! Men's clothes were so nice back then. . .
I love P&P!
ReplyDeleteShould be lovely!
ReplyDeleteThat's my very favorite of hers! Have you read the book Austenland? Oh my, it reminded me and you and this blog and about all these beautiful dresses!
ReplyDeleteThe new Wickam is not as dashing as the old one I think. They gave him a pitiful, soft look. Jane's dress would be neat to make!
ReplyDeleteChrissy, I haven't read Austenland..I'll have to see if our library has it, sounds like a fun book! :)
ReplyDeleteBria, it's funny because I thought Rupert Friend was quite the dashing Wickam he just didn't have a big enough part like the old one did. I never really liked the old Wickam...but them I guess we aren't really supposed to, eh? ;)
I've been catching up on my blog reading so this post is a little late. Luv that dress and can't to see it. I also like the other dresses you've made. They're all fab!

ReplyDeleteHaha!

Have you started Jane's White Muslin dress?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the pattern that you said you have for that gown? I've been looking for something like it.
ReplyDeleteHow did this dress turn out? I'm wanting to make this dress of Jane's for my 18th birthday party that's Jane Austen themed. I've been having a hard time finding a pattern that closely follows this gown.
ReplyDeleteHello Jaana! I sort of made up a pattern and I didn't like it very much. But I have since purchased this pattern: http://sensibility.com/blog/patterns/the-elegant-ladys-closet/ which has a cross-over gown that is similar and could work. I haven't made it yet but I would like to try one of these days! Good luck with your dress, it sounds like you will have a lovely party!
