Feeling Persuaded

I watched Persuasion the other day and it has done nothing to help cure my Regency mood. :) I'm even more desperate to pull out my fabric stash and make something. Maybe I will do that today....
I really love Anne's pale blue dress.
I love the sleeves and the neckline...
It's just lovely. :) And now I'm in the mood to read the novel again. There's time for all that aside from all the wedding stuff I have to do, right?

  2. Isn't it a lovely book? :) It's in my top favorites of hers. It's hard for me to pick though. And Yes CiarĂ¡n Hinds is brilliant!

  3. This is my favorite JA book! I've seen the BBC movie, but not this version. Is it good?
    I love her dress!

  4. Yes this version is really good! I prefer it...but it could be because I saw this version first. :)

  5. Persuasion is one of my favorite Austen books and I just love the Amanda Roots movie version! The costumes are positively yummy and, for the most part, historically accurate! I always want to make a drop-front after watching... :)

Disclaimer:

Although I continually talk about movie costumes on this blog, I am not a movie reviewer. Not all the films I discuss are recommended and I do not choose to review weather they are appropriate or not for the simple fact that every person's standards are different. Something that is fine for me may be offensive to some one else and visa versa. If you would like to look into the appropriateness of a title, I recommend pluggedinonline.com. I have not seen all the movies I discuss, and am simply interested in the art of clothes in film. I will leave you to decide for yourself if you will watch the movie or not.
