Golden Globe Awards 2009

If you have known me for awhile then you most likely know I'm a total movie awards nerd. I love watching them...they are like my "super bowl" every year and I turn into a total couch potato when they're on and if your not serious about watching better leave the room because I don't want to miss one silly word of those long boring speeches. ;)
The Golden Globe Award winners are to be announced this coming Sunday, here are some nominations I'm thrilled to see on the list:

Little Dorrit
- Best mini-series or motion picture made for television
Emily Blunt, The Young Victoria
-Best Performance by an actress in a motion picture drama

Robert Downey Jr., Sherlock Holmes
-Best performance by an actor in a motion picture-comedy or musical
Little Dorrit is possibly my favorite mini series to date and I just saw The Young Victoria today and I think Emily Blunt definitely deserves an award. I confess I haven't seen Sherlock Holmes...yet. But I'm going to see it this week and I've heard great things about it. I'd be super happy for it to win an award. I always tend to cheer for what I've heard of in the awards. It's soo exciting when what I want to win actually wins.
So we shall just have to wait and see...

  1. I went to see Sherlock Holmes twice and LOVED it both times!! I highly recommend going to see it. I think it's definitely one of those "see it in the theater because of the ginormous screen" kind of movies.

  2. Oh yes, Emily Blunt should win. She was so great! :)

    Love you!

  3. I do hope Little Dorrit and Emily Blunt win!

  4. Costume Queen, my brother took me to see it for my birthday. It was definately worth seeing in the theater! It was so amazing. :)

Although I continually talk about movie costumes on this blog, I am not a movie reviewer. Not all the films I discuss are recommended and I do not choose to review weather they are appropriate or not for the simple fact that every person's standards are different. Something that is fine for me may be offensive to some one else and visa versa. If you would like to look into the appropriateness of a title, I recommend I have not seen all the movies I discuss, and am simply interested in the art of clothes in film. I will leave you to decide for yourself if you will watch the movie or not.
