Little Dorrit

I hope you all got a chance to se the firt episode of 'Little Dorrit' on Masterpiece Theater last night. If not, never fear! You can watch it online HERE. I don't know how I'm going to wait five weeks before the ending...but in a way it's kind of fun to have something to look forward to every week. :)
I thought Matthew MacFadyen was brilliant in the first episode. I was so thrilled when I heard he was going to be in it! I think he belongs in period films. ;)

Claire Foy is amazing as well. :) She's so sweet.
I'm already in love with the costumes.
And I can't wait until next Sunday night. :)

  5. We got to watch it after you left. Too bad we didn't realize that it had started already! I'm so glad that we can watch it online since we all missed the beginning. Dicken's is confusing anyway, but ten times worse if you miss the beginning!

So funny to see "Mr. Darcy" all friendly and humble! :)
    Thanks Anna!

  6. I haven't seen any of the movie but I have been reading the book and will try not to watch the movie until I have it finished! I really like Dickens, especially this story!

  8. I can't wait to see this either!!! And have you heard of the movie 'Young Victoria'? When I was in London, Mrs. Chancey went to see it, I stayed with her baby or I would have gone too. She said it was wonderful! The story and costumes were acurate too.

Disclaimer:

Although I continually talk about movie costumes on this blog, I am not a movie reviewer. Not all the films I discuss are recommended and I do not choose to review weather they are appropriate or not for the simple fact that every person's standards are different. Something that is fine for me may be offensive to some one else and visa versa. If you would like to look into the appropriateness of a title, I recommend pluggedinonline.com. I have not seen all the movies I discuss, and am simply interested in the art of clothes in film. I will leave you to decide for yourself if you will watch the movie or not.
